Why is The Tejano Project Important?
It’s important that we share what makes Tejano unique. We have a rich culture and an incredible history that makes us who we are today. In order to ensure our Tejano culture continues we need to tell our story, whatever that may be. The Tejano Project is here to help us continue to share our knowledge and talents so Tejano not only survives but thrives!
Tejano is made up of people from all genres. Texas is Tejano! The Tejano Project invites ALL artists, musicians, vocalists, performers to share their craft. This is bigger than just a project. This is a movement. A movement to teach a younger generation that Tejano is a collective term, a word that encompasses people from all walks of life. Tejano is Texas and together we will move The Tejano Project forward!
